Individual
Psychotherapy

My hope for my work with individuals is simple: I want to know the human. I want your stories and experiences, your dreams, who you love (and simultaneously perhaps struggle with), what aspects of life you find challenging, what gives you purpose... I aim to practice with the humility of the existential perspective; although I can never know your experiences or suffering firsthand, together we can delve into these in order to understand you further - your joys and sorrows, where you hide, what you hide. Some of this, you might not even know yet.  Some of it, you may feel scared to uncover. I want to encourage you to view this as empowering. We will discover the inner-resilience and resources I know you hold. I primarily utilize elements of self-compassion, existentialism, and narrative approaches, with the intention of: bringing a deeper connection, acceptance, and kindness to oneself, offering up new perspectives, and providing boundless curiosity to shed light on what it is you most desire while you're here (not just in my office- but in your time on earth). There may be some heaviness, we may laugh at how wild life is, but what I can assure you is this: the very fact that you've read this far means there is something you are seeking... a shift, a change, a look inside.

"I wonder if you can ever be at home anywhere, because home is not a place -it's a state of mind. Really being at home is feeling at home in your own skin... Perhaps you have been searching for home in the wrong place all your life.

- Irvin D. Yalom
